1. Craft a Captivating Bio:

Your Instagram bio is your virtual handshake. Make it memorable, concise, and reflective of your expertise. Include keywords like "realtor," "interior design," and your location to enhance discoverability. And don't forget a dash of personality – let your uniqueness shine through!

2. Curate a Stunning Feed:

Visual aesthetics matter on Instagram. Create a cohesive and visually appealing feed that reflects your style. Consistency in colors, filters, and themes makes your profile irresistibly appealing to visitors. Showcase before-and-after shots, design insights, and sneak peeks into your business. Poiema and Grace do such a great job at this, she works with brands, like mine, to capture what they do and visualize their brand identity.





3. Master the Hashtag Game:

Hashtags are your ticket to broader visibility. Use relevant and trending hashtags that resonate with the community you serve. Mix popular and niche hashtags to increase your chances of being discovered by potential clients. Here is how my client Daisy Creative Studio utilizes hashtags, one of her ideal clients is photographers, and so she used hashtags that photographers would literally search to get help building their website.





4. Tell Captivating Stories:

Instagram Stories are the perfect playground for engagement. Share behind-the-scenes glimpses, Q&A sessions, and quick design tips. Use stickers, polls, and questions to interact with your audience and keep them coming back for more. Here is a great example of how to utilize a captivating story.

During a conference my client created stories explaining what she learned after each session at the event, this kept views tuned into her Instagram throughout the day, and then at the end of each day we turned all of those stories into a reel that you can view here. Not only did this keep them involved, but this also highlighted her as an expert in her field and gave her an opportunity to educate her clients as well.




5. Engage Authentically:

Respond to comments, engage with other accounts in your niche, and foster a sense of community. Authentic engagement builds relationships and trust, making potential clients more likely to reach out.

One of the things I do with the accounts I manage is I go in daily and engage with followers after a new post has been posted. I do 2 very specific things that work so well.

  1. I go in and use hashtags to search for my client's ideal client, once I pull the hashtag I look for accounts she is not yet following, once I find one, I will follow and then go in and comment on a few of their posts.

  2. I go through her current followers and make sure that I am commenting 4 words or more on her current followers.

The return on the time and investment in doing that simple act was 172 new organic followers in 30 days! WIN WIN!


6. Leverage User-Generated Content:

Encourage your clients to share and tag you in their posts. Repost their content with proper credit, showing your work in real-life scenarios. User-generated content acts as social proof and adds credibility to your brand. You can see a prime example here of how my girl Poiema and Grace used this tool. Now all of my followers get to see how awesome she is and her followers get to see what clients she works with!



7. Share Valuable Content:

Position yourself as an industry expert by sharing valuable content. Post tips, trends, and educational advice.

Educating your audience establishes you as a go-to resource, driving more traffic to your profile. My good friend Donya does a great job at keeping her followers up to date on the current market trends. While some realtors are doing this monthly, Donya offers it weekly and really shows her followers that she has her finger on the pulse of what is happening in the real estate industry, and in turn her clients grow to trust her knowledge, expertise, and her as the expert to go to when they are ready to list or sell their property.
