As I wrap up Chapter 47 of my life, I can't help but reflect on this incredible rollercoaster ride. 🎢
Each year, around my December birthday, I start envisioning the next chapter and look back on the one that's closing. And this year was no different.
This year, THRIVE was my guiding word. To grow, prosper, and flourish in every aspect. Psalm 92:12-13 was my verse for the year:
The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. Those that be planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God.
My girl Jill shared this mantra with me at the beginning of the year and I wrote it down everyday for months:
Connect + Attract - Blessings, Influence, Presence, and Protection. And looking back, those blessings arrived, amid the daily battles at work.
For nine months, it felt like a constant battlefield at my job—attacks, manipulation, false promises. But I didn’t give up. I thrived, and I kept pushing forward. Some days, it felt barely enough, but things started shifting before my eyes.
Often, we're so focused on problems during life transitions that we miss blessings and favor. As I close this chapter, I celebrate my wins! Here's a glimpse:
JANUARY: Embarked on my business journey, laying the groundwork for my brand, crafting content, and curating products.
FEBRUARY: Hosted a fabulous Galentine’s Day with my favorite girls, celebrated my boo's birthday, and cheered on his debut vinyl record pop-up shop!
MARCH: Created my Glow Up Your Brand Training Course, setting the stage for brand brilliance.
APRIL: Marked 15 years of wedded bliss, had my first ever Brand photoshoot for myself, and jetted off to Vegas with my bestie and sister, hitting up Las Vegas Market for some business inspiration.
MAY: Unleashed the Glow Up Your Brand Course and Social Content, empowering others in the business world.
JUNE: Networked like a pro, creating meaningful connections with realtors at an incredible event.
JULY: Back to Vegas reconnected with my bestie from high school, had the best time learning and networking at RESACON, securing the honor of MOST INFLUENTIAL PERSON IN REAL ESTATE HOME STAGING, and captured the essence of my brand yet again in a stunning photoshoot.
AUGUST: Signed my first official client! Took a content creation trip to Texas for a special project and spoke at a Strictly Social Event.
SEPTEMBER: Jammed out at the Weezer Concert with my boo, welcomed two more amazing clients into the fold.
OCTOBER: Left my job, was a guest on the Created Woman podcast, signed my third client, and hosted an epic INSPIRE RETREAT empowering female entrepreneurs in Arizona.
NOVEMBER: Celebrated our son's 29th birthday, back to Texas for content creation and hangout time with the bestie, and launched the Boss Babe Visuals division, adding a new dimension to my business.
DECEMBER: Scored my first official Brand Client, prepping and praying for an even more incredible 2024. 🚀
As I wrap up this whirlwind recount of Chapter 47, I'm struck by the immense importance of pausing to celebrate victories, no matter how small they may seem. Sharing this glimpse of my journey underscores the value of acknowledging progress, especially in the entrepreneurial world. Despite the challenges and unexpected turns, I've emerged stronger, more resolute, and with a deeper sense of self. To all those who've been part of this chapter, your support has been invaluable in shaping me into a more empowered and purpose-driven individual. Moving into Chapter 48, I'm bursting with excitement to reveal my goals, dreams, and more. Remember, building a business you adore isn't just a dream—it's a journey of passion and purpose.
