This is a loaded question, right? I mean most of our brains are filled with the comments, judgments, and opinions of everyone else but ourselves. I mean honestly, we were born learning to ingest the opinions of others. That is great if the opinions of others were positive and life-giving, but what if the person who raised you was negative, critical, and always found fault with everything you did? So now when you think of yourself what do you see? Do you listen to the voice inside your head that replays those old tapes or do you allow yourself to break free and create a new story?
I'm sure you've heard the saying, "You are your own worst critic." Truer words have never been spoken when it comes to how most of us view and think about ourselves. We can be so hard on ourselves—always finding fault, never feeling good enough, never measuring up. And all too often, we allow the negative voice inside our heads to control how we feel about who we are.
But what if I told you that you have the power to change all that? That's right—you can choose to listen to a different voice—a voice that is kind, loving, and supportive. A voice that believes in you and knows that you are capable of great things. It's time for you to start listening to that voice—the voice of your True Self.
Your True Self is the part of you that is already perfect—the part of you that is wise, whole, and complete. It is the part of you that knows your true worth and value. It is the part of you that loves unconditionally and accepts people just as they are. And it is the part of you that knows there is nothing wrong with being exactly who you are—flaws and all.
The next time you find yourself being critical of yourself, take a step back and ask yourself why. What is it about yourself that you don't like? What would it feel like to love and accept yourself exactly as you are? Would it be possible for you to be kinder and more compassionate towards yourself? Remember, nobody's perfect—we all have flaws. But those flaws make us unique and special in our own way. So embrace them! Be proud of who you are! And most importantly, believe in yourself—because if you don't believe in yourself, nobody else will except for me of course, your #1 Hype Girl!
Remember, You Got This Boo!
